James W. Jamieson, 48, West Fargo, North Dakota died on September 9, 2019 after a prolonged illness.
James William Jamieson son of James and Marilyn Jamieson was born on April 5, 1971 in Fargo. He grew up in West Fargo and was a member of Shanley High School class of 1989. Jimmy married Michele Novotny on May 20, 1995 in Fargo. They had three children. Jimmy enjoyed playing American Legion baseball, hockey and loved his Dallas Cowboys. His greatest love was his family; above all spending time with his kids. He will be greatly missed by all.
Jimmy made the decision to be done with drugs and alcohol on December 1st, 1999, and 19 ½ years later to his last day he stayed true to himself. Through the years, Jimmy was not only involved in helping others in NA/AA but also became a member in the motorcycle club, Association of Recovering Motorcyclists (A.R.M.) and along with friends and A.R.M. he continued to help people down their own path toward a possible better future.
He is survived by his children, Zakkary Jamieson, Fargo, Alexia Jamieson, Fargo, and James P. Jamieson, Fargo, mother, Marilyn Jamieson, Fargo, siblings, Sheila (Rick) Sartwell, Ryan Jamieson, Fargo, nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, “Flash.”
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, James L Jamieson, grandparents, Ell and Agnes Jamieson and Frank and Arleda Lang.
Visitation: Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 5 until 6:30 PM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, West Fargo.
Prayer Service: Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 6:30 PM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, West Fargo.
Funeral Mass: Friday September 13, 2019 at 10:30 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial: Friday September 13, 2019 at Holy Cross North Catholic Cemetery, Fargo, ND around 1:00 PM.
