Ingrid Josephson

Ingrid I. Josephson, 73, West Fargo, ND, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2019, at Eventide Sheyenne Crossings, West Fargo, under the compassionate staff and Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Ingrid Irene Josephson was born in Bismarck, ND June 26, 1946, to Raymond and Gertrude (Kavonius) Josephson. She attended school in Bismarck, graduating from Bismarck High School in 1964.  She then graduated from Bismarck Junior College (now Bismarck State College) in 1966 with a degree as Medical Secretary.  Ingrid graduated from Mankato State University, Mankato, MN in 1982, with a Bachelor of Science degree. She worked in the Administrative Office at Bismarck Hospital.  In 1969 she moved to Minneapolis with her sister, Ilona Josephson. Ingrid was employed by Orthopedic Consultants in Minneapolis for 30 years, working for Dr. Hartwig.  She then was employed at the Twin City Spine Center, as Medical Secretary for Dr. Timothy Garvey.  She retired in 2011 and moved to West Fargo, ND.

Ingrid was blessed with a musical talent.  She played piano, cello, and sang in choirs and orchestras throughout high school, and later in Minneapolis.  She sang with the Bach Society in Minneapolis.

Ingrid is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, brother David, niece Tammy Josephson, family friend Sylvia Golke, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ingrid is survived by sisters Ilona Josephson, of Spring, TX; Karen Metheny (James), of West Fargo, ND; Kay Josephson, of El Paso, TX, and Becky Scaggs (Robert), of Spring, TX, and their daughters Sarah, Jennifer and Emily.  She is survived by nephew Randy Josephson and his daughter Emily, of Bismarck, ND; niece Leaha Sprenger (Corey) and their daughter Kiana and sons Coy and Dane, of Mandan, ND.  Also survived by aunts Helen Kavonius, of Bismarck, ND, and Lela Josephson, of Peoria, Illinois, and cousins Deborah Lips-Hill (James), of Mesa, AZ, and Evan Lips, of Bismarck, ND and many aunts, uncles, and cousins in various states.  She is survived by significant other, Gary Blesi, of Minneapolis, MN.  Gary and Ingrid met August 5, 1992.  They were very close, and able to travel together for many years.
