So sorry to read about Howard's passing. As the family grieves the great loss, may his memory bring comfort and a measure of relief. May the family also find comfort and peace in the expressed words of John 5: 28,29, as you go through the years to come.

Harriet and Family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of Howard and my Dad (John Pugh) at the Friday night races in West Fargo. I was very young but I remember cheering for Howard to win!! After the race we would go to the pit and have fun. Such great family memories. Hold onto your memories and maybe now Howard and Dad are telling racing stories in heaven. Hugs.

My family and I want to offer our deepest sympathy on reading of the sad, untimely death of Howard. May the warmth of family and friend and your loving memories give you strength during the times ahead. It is truly comforting to know our Lord Jesus made a personal promise regarding our loved ones who have died. He promised a resurrection. A time when we will see them again. That guarantee is found in the Bible at John 11:25. It is our hope these words will bring you comfort and hope.
With prayers
The Dawes family

We are so sorry for your loss.
We thought back to the old machine shop days and the racing from those years and many great times that we had. He was a very valuable asset to our business and had a special way with customers, always a positive attitude and a great smile. He will be greatly missed.

Harriet,
Just learned of Howard's passing. Tho He and I never met, I know he must have been a very loving person who left this earth too soon. I pray for your healing and strength in the days to come. My sympathy to you and family.

Howard and I go back a long way, before grade school, as I spent a lot of time at their house which was less then a block away. I knew him as Smog, not very many people knew that knick name as I think it came from the 41 chevy coupe that he had and it always left a smoke trail. Howard was a great friend, wish I lived closer as I really like being with him and we always had good times. I used to go to his car races when I was in town. Sailor Rest your Oars, you have been relieved on watch.

Thank you Bob, we were talking about that nickname Sunday night, none of us knew how he got it. Your post was very moving.
