Greta Rehling

Greta A. Rehling, 88 of Fargo, ND, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Lilac Homes in Moorhead, MN.

Greta was born on August 25, 1930 in Mandan, ND to Henry and Mabel (Etherington) Price. She grew up and attended country school in Price, ND and graduated from high school in Mandan, ND. She married Donald Rehling on July 27, 1952 in Mandan. They lived in LaMoure, ND, Lisbon, ND and Fargo, ND. Greta worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company and Dahlgren Company.

She enjoyed traveling, trips to the casino, all family related events and volunteering for the Fargo Food Pantry and St. Ansgar Hospital. She was a member of the Lisbon Jaycees, DAV, 1st Community Presbyterian Church UPW in Lisbon and the Community Presbyterian Service Group in West Fargo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Louise, Vernon, Raymond and Charlie and her grandson, Shawn.

Greta is survived by her husband of 66 years, Don; daughters, Terri (Dave) Stokes, Sandy Rehling (Cheryl Prins) and Judi (Mike) Scherweit; grandchildren, Matt Faller (Elizabeth Henschel), Deanna Faller, Caitlin Schuessler, Laurel (Chris) Parsons, Jeremy Stokes, Reisha (Travas) Rheault, Keith (Bridgette) Stokes, Steve (Nicci) Scherweit and Kristi (Justin) Paquette; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Tatum, Quinn, Mya, Kira, Damon, Sophie, Emma, Chase, Dylan and MacKenzie and sisters-in-law, Arlyn Price and Mary Price.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley or Essentia Health Breast Cancer Center.

Greta’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of the Red River Valley, in particular to Melissa, Emily, Madison and Diego.

Memorial Service:     Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 2 pm at West Funeral Home Chapel, West Fargo, ND with visitation from 1:30 – 2 pm.
