George Powers

George Daniel Powers, 82, Fargo, ND died on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Rosewood on Broadway, Fargo.

George was born on the farm at Durbin, ND to Ralph and Marie (Lebus) Powers on July 13, 1936.  He attended a one room rural school district #29, Davenport, ND and graduated from Casselton High School. He enlisted in the Navy in 1954 and served twenty years as a maintenance man in a ship’s engine room. With an honorable discharge he retired and lived in San Francisco, CA.

He is survived by two brothers; James and David and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Charles, Vincent, Wayne, Earl and sister Marlys.

Funeral service: Monday, October 1, 2018 at 11 AM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Burial: Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 1 PM at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.
