Eugene Wayne Cross

Eugene Cross, 74, Mapleton, ND died on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at his home.

Eugene Wayne Cross was born May 19, 1944 in Fargo, ND to Wayne and Grace (Forkert) Cross. He grew up on the family farm near Mapleton and graduated from high school. He served in the US Navy and ND Air National Guard.  Eugene was a master electrician by trade and owned and operated Wayne’s Electric. He lived in West Fargo for many years before returning to the family farm in 2008. He married Renee Lahlum Cross in late summer of 2017.

He enjoyed traveling and camping trips, golfing, riding motorcycle and watching the GB Packers. He especially loved mowing the yard on his JD Tractor with the radio and AC on! He was active with the West Fargo VFW and Honor Guard and served on the West Fargo Volunteer Fire Department for many years.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Renee; a son, Jason and his family; a daughter, Jennifer and her family; a sister, Margaret Brooks and her family. He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Carol.

Visitation:  Monday, Aug. 6, 2018 from 5 to 7:30 PM with Military Rites at 7:30 PM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND.  A reception will run concurrently with the visitation.
