David Dotting

David George Dotting, age 62, of West Fargo, ND died Wednesday, February 6th, 2019 at Sanford Medical Center.

Dave was born January 2nd, 1957 in Valley City, ND to Fred and Dorothy (Kankelfitz) Dotting. Dave was in the last graduating class from Pillsbury High School in 1974.

Dave served in the Army and had tours of duty in South Korea and Germany. He served in the motor pool and worked for many years as an over-the-road truck driver after being discharged. He enjoyed watching Minnesota sports teams, and nobody cheered harder or louder for the Vikings than him. He always enjoyed fishing and working on vehicles before “all those computers ruined people being able to work on their cars.”  He enjoyed debating, and never shied away from sharing his point of view. He was a kind man, always willing to help when and where he could.

Dave is survived by his children, Scott (Becky) Dotting and their daughter Emma, of Moorhead, MN, Heather (Luke) White and their son Carson, of Shreveport, LA; his sister, Jean Hanson, Williston, ND; and his brother, Dale Dotting, Springfield, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Margaret Burgess.

FUNERAL:  2PM Tuesday, February 12, 2019 in West Funeral Home & Life Tribute Center.

VISITATION:   Held one hour prior to his service
