Daniel Lane

Daniel S. Lane, 60, Fargo, ND passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at his home.

Daniel Scott Lane was born on May 5, 1959 in Fargo, ND to Wallace and Gladys (Hanson) Lane.  Dan grew up and attended  school in Moorhead, MN, graduating from Moorhead High School in 1978.  After graduation he worked at Bonawitz Furniture Refinishing until 1990.  On June 9, 1989 he married Carol Vetter at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in West Fargo.  They moved to Ortonville where Dan worked for United Hardware Distributing in Milbank, SD.  Dan moved to Moorhead in 2005 to take care of his dad while working at S-M Enterprises in Moorhead, retiring in 2019 due to his health.

Daniel loved his children more than anything and was extremely proud when Walker enlisted into the military.  He enjoyed hard rock music, Turner classic movies, and fireworks.  In his younger years he enjoyed playing darts and pool.  Dan was also a very creative artist and will always be known for and proud of being a hippie throughout his life.

Daniel is survived by his four children: KaDe Lane, of Becker, MN, McKenzy Lane, of Fargo, ND, PFC Walker Lane, Germany, and Preston Lane, of Becker, MN along with one sister Diane (Rodney) Monk, of Dilworth, MN.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents and infant daughter Lindsey Lane.

Visitation: Friday, August 9, 2019 from 10 AM until 12 PM at the West Funeral Home, West Fargo. 

 Prayer Service: Friday, August 9, 2019 at 12 PM at the West Funeral Home, West Fargo.

 Burial: Friday, August 9, 2019 at Landstad Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN at 4 PM.
