Charles “Chuck” Fry, age 53, of Horace, ND, died Saturday, March 31, 2018, at Sanford Health Palliative Care, Fargo, ND.
Charles Paul Fry was born September 16, 1964 at Detroit Lakes, MN, the son of Charlie A. and Mayme (Kurtti) Fry. He grew up at Rochert, MN, and attended school at Frazee, MN. Chuck then attended NDSU at Fargo for one year, prior to beginning to work at Crary Industries, West Fargo, in the Spring of 1988. He was still employed there at the time of his death.
On September 17, 1988, Chuck was united in marriage to Debra Wekesser at Trinity Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes, MN. They lived at Fargo and West Fargo prior to moving to Horace in 1993.
Chuck was a devoted father and husband. His children remember him as always being willing to go the extra mile for them. He called his wife “Mamma”, and everyone else “Chicken Butt”, all very affectionately! He enjoyed helping his parents-in-law on the weekends at their Wakanda Resort at Island Lake, MN. Chuck also enjoyed cold beer, golfing, fishing and the Minnesota Vikings.
He is survived by his wife Deb of Horace; his son Aaron of Fargo; two daughters Makayla of Fargo and Megan of Horace; his eight siblings: Rosanne Fry, Jim (Kathy), Steve (Linda), Joe (Rhonda), Mark (Jan), Cathy (Clark) Johnson, Dan (Fran), and Tom (Mindy); and many nieces and nephews.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Memorials may be designated to Roger Maris Cancer Center – Sanford Health, Fargo.
