Brenda Albert

   Brenda J. Albert, 64, Erie, ND passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at her residence in Fargo, ND.

   Brenda Jean Albert was born on July 1, 1954 at Fargo to Albert and Henrietta (Pierce) Schmidt.  She grew up in West Fargo and Mapleton, attending school in Mapleton. In 1971, Brenda married Courtland Bruesch and then in 1988 she married Gene Albert and they lived in Erie for the last 30 years.  Brenda worked for Mary’s Market in Arthur, volunteered with the Hunter First Responders, and was the secretary/treasurer of the Erie Cemetery Board.

    Brenda enjoyed gardening, baking, and needle working.  Her favorite pastime though was spending time with family; especially her grandchildren.

   Brenda is survived by her husband, Gene, of Erie, ND, three daughters: Christine Bruesch and Desiree Foley, both of Fargo, ND, and Sari Albert, of Missouri, step-children: Jorden (Jamie) Albert, of Wisconsin, Darrin Albert, , and Darrell (Denise) Albert, both of Fargo, ND; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  Other survivors include her siblings: Albert (Valerie) Schmidt, Minnie Wenger, Randy Schmidt, Ernie (Gina) Schmidt, all of Fargo, ND and Janet (Ric) Nelson, of Horace, ND along with several nieces and nephews.

   Brenda was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Wendy Bruesch.

   The family would prefer donations be made to Hospice of the Red River Valley in honor of Brenda.

   Memorial Service: Sunday, April 28, 2019 at 2 PM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND with visitation one hour prior to the service.
