Bonnie Dyrdahl, 89, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Bethany on 42nd with her family by her side.
Bonnie Rae Long was born on August 20, 1928 to Orville and Vina (Granell) Long on their family farm near Clarkfield, MN.
Bonnie married Luverne Dyrdahl on January 6, 1947 at Minneapolis MN. They farmed together for 50 years in Hazel Run on Luverne’s family farm. To this union 5 children were born. Bonnie was an active member of the Hazel Run Lutheran Church where she was involved in circle, birthday club and ladies aide. She also enjoyed baking, cooking, sewing, gardening and playing bingo and cards. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
After they retired from farming, they made their home in Crosslake, MN until Luverne passed away in 2003. Bonnie then moved to North Dakota where she resided at Edgewood Vista in Fargo, Parkside Home in Lisbon, ND and Bethany on 42nd in Fargo.
She is survived by her 4 children, Lynda (Danny) Johnson, Crosslake, MN, Lynnae (Denny) Decker, Gwinner, ND, “Lars” Larry (Gerri) Dyrdahl, West Fargo and Lynette (Ronald) Dotseth, Walcott, ND; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and brothers, Darris, Buster and Dennis Long.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Luverne; infant son, Kenneth; infant great granddaughter, Eva Marie Ryland; her parents; and sisters, Orvilla Johnson, Wanda Bailie and Beverly Thostenson.
Bonnie was loved by so many as was apparent by the number of visitors in her final hours. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of her wonderful friends and caregivers in the recent years.

Visitation: Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 5 to 7 PM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo.
Funeral: Friday at 10 AM at Bethany on 42nd – Larsen Chapel, Fargo.
Graveside Service: Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 2 PM at Hazel Run (MN) Lutheran Cemetery.
