Betty (Goltz) Lehmann

Betty A. Lehmann, 80, West Fargo, ND died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017 at Essentia Health, Fargo, ND surrounded by her family.

Betty Ann Goltz was born Sept. 24, 1936 at Britton, SD to Otto and Tilly (Haase) Goltz. She grew up on the family farm outside of Havana, ND and graduated from Havana High School. Betty married Charles Lehmann on Oct. 10, 1954 in Breckenridge, MN. They made their home in West Fargo where they raised five children. Betty worked at the Midway and Hi 10 Motels as a housekeeper and later worked at Fargo Assembly and Food Services of America. Chuck passed away in 1997.

Betty loved spending time with the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her passions were sewing and knitting along with tending her garden and camping. Chuck and Betty were members of WMSTR in Rollag.

Betty is survived by five children, Clint (Diane) Lehmann of West Fargo, Doris (Dean) Seelig of Lisbon, ND, Patti (George) Voigt of West Fargo, John (Bonita) Lehmann of Reiles Acres, ND and Jim (Kristi) Lehmann of Hawley, MN; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brother, Dennis (Linda) Goltz, Havana, ND; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Delores Goltz.

Visitation: Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017 from 5 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo.

Funeral: Monday at 11 AM at Maple Sheyenne Lutheran Church, rural Harwood, ND with visitation one hour prior.

Burial: Havana Cemetery.
