Betty Jabs

Betty Jabs, 87, of Moorhead, MN, died Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo.

Betty Jane Hill was born January 2, 1931 to Clayton and Crystal (Boyce) Hill at St. John’s Hospital in Fargo.  She graduated from Casselton High School in Casselton, ND.  On August 2, 1950, Betty married Oliver Jabs in Casselton. After farming from 1950-1957, Oliver became employed by Unisys Corp.  The family lived in East Grand Forks, Bismarck and Billings, MT until moving back to Moorhead in 1991 and later to Fargo.  She was employed as a secretary/bookkeeper until retiring in 1992.  Betty then volunteered ten years at Roger Maris Cancer Center in Fargo.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead.

She is survived by four sons:  Lynn (Deb), Paulden, AZ, Dennis (Jackie), Leesburg, FL, Jeffrey, Fresno, CA, Jerome (Karla), Moorhead, MN; a daughter: Deborah (Wayne) Pilon, Moorhead, MN; two sisters: Marjean (Joseph) Roden, Fargo, ND, Kay Lonski, Billings, MT; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Oliver; brothers: Garland and Donald Hill.

A Celebration of Betty’s Life will be hosted by her family on a later date.
