Alvin "Al" Rohlfs

Alvin “Al” Rohlfs, age 91, of West Fargo, ND, died Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Sheyenne Crossings, West Fargo.

Alvin Harvey Rohlfs was born December 24, 1927 at Corona, SD, the son of John and Mabel (Buttke) Rohlfs.   He grew up and attended school in Corona.   Al and Doris Marlette were united in marriage on March 26, 1951 in Redfield, SD.  He soon entered the United States Army and served until he was discharged in 1953.  Al then worked at Jockheck Company in Redfield.   They later moved to West Fargo where they raised their four daughters.    Al worked for Swedberg Equipment and LTP Enterprises.  After his retirement he worked for the West Fargo School system as a bus driver, which he enjoyed immensely. 

Al enjoyed camping, golfing, and spending time with friends and family.  He especially loved his grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughters, Debbie (Gary) Klein, Rochert, MN, Susan Cilvik, Tempe, AZ, Janet (Rick) Monson, West Fargo, ND, Marsha (Cliff) Waletzko, St. Cloud, MN; 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and his brother Roger (June) Rohlfs, Corona, SD.

Al was preceded in death by his wife Doris who died in 1996, his parents, one brother Junior Rohlfs, and one sister Alice Hooshagan.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery - North, Fargo, ND

Military honors will be provided by the ND National Guard Funeral Honors Team
