Alice Streifel, 78, Fargo, ND died Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at Eventide in Moorhead.
Alice Elaine Streifel was born September 16, 1939 to Art and Zana Nordholm in Moorhead, MN. She graduated from Wolverton High School in Wolverton, MN and went to work at Northwest Bell Telephone as an operator. Alice married Dennis Streifel March 14, 1959, at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Fargo. The couple lived in Minot for a time, then returned to the Fargo-West Fargo area where she was employed at Schlitz Brothers, Prairie Printing, YWCA Consignment Store, St. Vincent de Paul, and lastly at Cenex in West Fargo.
She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, volunteered at the Veterans Hospital, the American Heart Association, Easter Seals, and Hope Lutheran Church-North Campus. Alice enjoyed bowling, watching Twins Baseball, doing puzzles and her grand and great-grandchildren.
Grateful for having shared in her life are children: Kevin (Velvet) Streifel of West Fargo, Kary Kasin of Veneta, OR and Kelly Streifel of Fargo; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; a sister: Doris Nelson; brothers: Vern (Ruth) Nordholm and Charles Nordholm; numerous nieces and nephews.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son: Kent Striefel and a brother: Loren Nordholm.
Funeral: 10 a.m., Thursday, September 13, 2018, at West Funeral Home in West Fargo, with visitation an hour prior.
Burial: Salem Lutheran Cemetery, Wolverton, MN
