Lynette Hakanson

Lynette Hakanson, 65 Horace, ND passed on March 19, 2024, at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.

Lynette was born December 16, 1958, in Fargo, ND to Walter and Myrtle Stromberg.

At age of 11 her family moved from a farm near Prosper, ND to West Fargo, ND. She attended West Fargo School and graduated from West Fargo High in 1977.

On September 16, 1978, she married Craig Hakanson at Maple-Sheyenne Church. They celebrated their 45th anniversary last year.

She received her Social Work degree from Moorhead State University and worked for various agencies in the Fargo-Moorhead area.

Lynette loved animals and their household always included several beloved rescue pets.

She enjoyed many days at the lakes, travel and spending time with her family and friends.

Lynette is survived by her husband, Craig; her children, Zachary, Horace, ND and Jordan (Stephanie), West Fargo, ND; her sister, Jeanette, LaPorte, CO and brother, Richard, Georgetown, MN.

Lynette is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Corrine.

Service: Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 1 PM at Horace Lutheran Church, Horace, ND, with visitation one hour before the service.
