Karen Anderson

   Karen Christine Anderson, 75, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Edgewood Vista.

   Karen was born on December 16, 1948, in Fargo, North Dakota, to Harry and Gunda Peterson. She grew up in Fort Ransom, ND and graduated from Fort Ransom School in 1966.

   On August 24th, 1968, Karen married Ronald Anderson at Standing Rock Church in Fort Ransom, ND. They shared over 55 years of marriage.

   Karen was a member of the Red Hat’s Society of Fort Ransom. She worked for Target in St. Cloud, for many years before retiring in 1999. She also enjoyed working on family history for the Strand, Peterson, and Anderson families.

   They spent much of their summer weekends at their ski hill, in Fort Ransom, ND, creating lasting memories with family and friends.

   Karen was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her friends, and family, especially her grandchildren.

   Karen is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Ron, son Gary Anderson (Stephanie), daughter Kristine Owen, grandchildren Jack Meland, Allison Meland, Wesley Anderson, Molly Anderson, and Reagan Anderson.

   A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at West Funeral Home, Casselton, with a visitation one hour prior. The service will be recorded and posted on the funeral home website. In lieu of traditional attire, the family is asking you to wear bright colors.
