Clair Sorensen

Clair Alfred Sorensen 79 of Dilworth, MN passed away at his home Thursday, April 11th 2024, while under the care of Hospice. 

Clair was born in Ogden, UT and moved with his family to the Fargo area when he was two years old. 

Clair met his soulmate, Jean McDougall, in high school and they married on August 8th, 1964, and had three daughters Monica, Molly (D.1970) and Margo. They have had many fun adventures at their lake cabin throughout their years. “Clever Clair” was always known as the “man in the overalls” and always had a project he was working on. He was always the person that would share his knowledge and be a helping hand to friends and neighbors alike. His heart of gold was the only thing he couldn’t repair. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him. 

He is survived by his wife Jean of 59 years, daughters Monica (Brian) Dickman, Margo (Chris) Larson, five grandchildren Brianna Dickman, Kelsie (Alex) Mannen, Emily Larson, Riley (Alivia) Larson, Zander Larson and one great grandchild, Talon. 

He is preceded in death by a daughter Molly Sorensen, mother Evelyn Ryan, father Alfred Sorensen, sisters Doris Grant and Lucille Knodle. 

Visitation:  11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND

Interment:  3 pm Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Oak Grove Cemetery, Detroit Lake, MN
