William Fisk

William Fisk, 87, Fargo, ND died on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Villa Maria in Fargo.

William Herbert Fisk was born Dec. 13, 1929 at Lisbon, ND to John and Nora (Joyce) Fisk. He grew up on a farm near McLeod, ND and attended school there. Bill served in the US Army in Korea. Bill married LuElla Sveum in 1953 in South Dakota. They made their home in the Milnor area where he worked a variety of jobs. They moved to the Jim Runck farm near Durbin, ND where he worked for over 30 years. Upon retirement, he moved to West Fargo. LuElla passed away in 1984. He has resided at Villa Maria for the last two years.

Bill enjoyed working on small engines and watching NASCAR races.

He is survived by four children, Kathleen (Kevin) Vetter, Bismarck, ND, Mary (Al Juodvalkis) Merrill, Southport, FL, Delores (Eddie) Murphy, Casselton, ND and Richard Fisk, Leonard, ND; special friend, Isabelle Bakke, Fargo; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a sister, Betty (Cliff) Seelye, Oakes, ND; many nieces and nephews; along with his caregivers at Villa Maria which he considered his family.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife and six siblings, John, Robert, Albert, Archie, Gladys and Mary "Dolly."

Visitation: Friday, June 30, 2017 from 5 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo.     

Funeral: Saturday at 11 AM at West Funeral Home Chapel, West Fargo with visitation one hour prior and reception to follow.

Interment: Freeman Cemetery, McLeod.
