Virgil Ralph Dennis

Virgil R. Dennis, 84, Moorhead, MN died on Saturday, February 03, 2018 at Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead.

Virgil Ralph Dennis was born on January 31, 1934 in Crosby, ND to Ralph and Eva Mae (Melcher) Dennis.  He attended the school for the deaf at Grafton, ND along with schooling to be a barber.  Once schooling was done he went to work in the oil fields until his retirement in the 1980’s due to an injury.  After his retirement he helped his daughter Jody by delivering meat around Williston, North Dakota.  Virgil was married to June Brackey and had 4 wonderful daughters. They were his world.

Virgil really enjoyed reading westerns, watching tv, playing bingo, cleaning his car, fishing, and mostly spending time with his family.  He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Williston.

Virgil is survived by his four daughters: Pam (Jesse) Mendoza, of Glyndon, MN, Vivian Dennis, of West Fargo, ND, Jody (Renae) Dennis, of Alexander, ND and Lori Dennis, of West Fargo, ND, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; three sisters: Sylvia Harless, of Virginia, Dorris (Perry) Baker, of Montana, and Violet Johnson, of North Dakota along with a brother Marvin (Lanette) Dennis, of Oregon.

Virgil was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters.

Memorial service: Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11 AM at River Valley Church, Dilworth, MN.
