Kim E Perhus

Kim Ellen Perhus, age 59, passed away in Fargo, January 17, 2017 from complications of diabetes. Kim was born March 4, 1957 to A. Eugene and Eileen J. Perhus of Kindred, North Dakota.

Kim graduated from Kindred High School and earned her Associates degree in Commercial Art at Moorhead Tech (M-State).  She started her early career in the oil industry in Sidney, MT.  From there, she moved to southern California where she was employed at Shell Oil Company for 17 years.  Kim had the rare opportunity to work several years on an off-shore oil drilling platform. Most recently, she lived in Fargo and worked in West Fargo at TCC Materials. 

Kim loved spending time with her nieces and nephew, dog sitting for friends and family, and reading/collecting recipes and cookbooks. She enjoyed West Fargo Cruise Nights, the annual Blue’s Fest, NFL Football (Chicago Bears), crafting and going for motorcycle rides with friends.

Kim was preceded in death by her parents A. Eugene Perhus and Eileen (Hagen) Perhus. She is survived by her siblings, Wanda Perhus, West Fargo; Faye (Timothy) Labatt, Minneapolis; Kelly (Deb) Perhus, Kindred; and Twila and (Michael) Moen, Colfax, ND; nephew Tanner Perhus (fiancé Caitlin Wehri and their daughter Amelia), Kindred; and nieces Kelsie Perhus, Fargo; and Karley Perhus, Fargo.

Service in honor of Kim’s life will be Friday, January 20, 2017 at 3 p.m. at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND with visitation starting a 1 p.m.
