Kermit Dean Himle died unexpectedly, and was welcomed with open arms into heaven on July 5, 2017. Kermit had been blessed with an engaging personality, and has probably been enlisted to pour the coffee and offer the cookies.

Kermit was born December 5, 1957 to Arnold and DeLorez Himle in Devils Lake, ND. As a young boy, Kermit’s family moved to the Fargo-West Fargo area and eventually settled in Harwood, ND.

Kermit was a plumber by trade, but quickly switched careers and became a successful, travelling salesman for West Coast Salon Systems. Kermit had found his niche in life – he was a natural born salesman. With his gift of gab and his personality, Kermit could easily convince you that you absolutely needed to buy whatever he was selling.

Kermit loved spending time with family and friends; he particularly cherished time spent at the lakes and time spent talking around a campfire. He enjoyed country music and took pleasure in teaching his daughters and his nieces how to dance the two-step, the polka, and the jitterbug.

Kermit was generous with his time as a parent volunteer for the American Diabetes Association, and as a bell ringer for the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign.

Kermit is survived by Jenny and their four children; Benjamin, Kaitlin, Karianne, and Jacob. He is also survived by his mother, DeLorez (Fargo), his brother, Allen (Fargo), and his sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Dan Meyer (West Fargo).

Kermit was preceded in death by his father, and by both his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Memorial services for Kermit will be held on Wednesday, July 12th at 11:00 at Hope Lutheran Church – South Campus, Fargo. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the memorial service.
