Kenneth Gregerson

Kenneth O. Gregerson, 91, of West Fargo, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Bethany on University in Fargo under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.                                                                                    

Kenneth Orville Gregerson was born August 6, 1925 at Valley City, ND, the fifth child of fourteen to Axel and Beatrice (Tooley) Gregerson.  He was raised there and following his education, Kenneth worked retrieving auto parts until being drafted in to the Army during WWII.  He served in Germany, Italy and France and awarded the bronze star during the Battle of the Bulge.  He returned to Valley City after the war and married Lorraine Larsen on October 3, 1948.  Kenneth was employed by Gamble Robinson, selling groceries, until beginning a long association with K.W. McKee delivering new Ford vehicles to dealers in North Dakota, Minnesota and Montana.  The couple eventually moved to Richfield, MN and then to West Fargo in 1964.  Following retirement from K.W. McKee, he worked for Lunde Lincoln – Mercury, shuttling vehicles until retiring at age 90.  Lorraine Gregerson passed away in June of 2014.

Kenneth and Lorraine were one of the founding couples of the Lutheran Church of the Cross in West Fargo.  He was also a long time member and former officer of the Arthur W. Jones VFW Post #7564 in West Fargo.  Kenneth enjoyed trading and tinkering with cars and especially his time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Lorraine; siblings Jessie,  Ruth,  Frances,  Bette Ann,  Patsy,  Axel, Jr “Bud”,  Richard “Butch”,  Rudolph, Donald, Ronald and Jimmy,

Grateful for having shared in his life are a son Timothy (Mary) Gregerson St Paul, MN; daughter Teresa (John) Flanagin, West Fargo; five grandchildren, Tammy Gregerson, Katie Gregerson, Mark (Jayne) Timmerman, Timothy (Kendra) Gregerson, Ann (Nick) Gaier, and three step-grandchildren Trevor Flanagin, Sarah Flanagin and Matthew Flanagin and four great-grandchildren Ethan Timmerman, Jayden Flanagin, Avery Timmerman and Scarlett Flanagin;  sister Mavis Kracht of Valley City;  brother Gerald (Ellie) Gregerson of Fargo;  numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral:  11 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 2017, at Lutheran Church of the Cross, West Fargo

Visitation:  At the church, an hour prior to the funeral.

Burial:  Riverside Cemetery, Fargo.`
