   Joyce A. Goldsmith, 69, West Fargo, ND died on Friday, November 17, 2017 at her home.

 

   Joyce Adeline Hartman was born July 23, 1948 to Daniel and Adeline 0. (Dallman) Hartman, in Jamestown, North Dakota. They lived on a farm NW of Edgeley, then in Jamestown before making their home in Edgeley until Joyce was a teenager. The family moved to Portland, ND. Joyce moved to Grand Forks where she met Gary Lee Goldsmith, US Air Force whom she married in 1966 in Portland, ND. They lived in several areas around the base, including on a farm and in Hatton. While Gary was deployed in Vietnam, Joyce and their son Gary Lee Jr. lived in Maryland near the Goldsmith family. Later all three returned to North Dakota where Dale Edward joined the family, living for a time in Portland, Glyndon, Bismarck and Mandan. The family returned to Maryland, living in Oxon Hill and Brandywine, for several years. Then the family moved to Wyoming where Big Gary passed away. Joyce and the boys moved to Jamestown then to Fargo and West Fargo where she remained until her death.

 

   Joyce is survived by her two sons, Gary, Winona, MN, and Dale (Tabatha Powell), West Fargo, ND, a special friend who was a daughter to her, Kari Jo Radtke (Steve), one sister Bonnie Hartman, Winona, MN, three brothers, Myrle (Elayne), Jamestown, Gary (Debra), Winona, MN, and Earl (Greg), Sioux City, IA. Grandchildren: Jamie, Justin, Shannon, Stephen, Jennie, Heidi, Jeffrey, Jeremy, Airyana, Robert, Crystal, Angel, and Norman. Six great-granddaughters and seven great-grandsons along with numerous nephews and nieces.

 

   Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, parents, an infant sister, her husband’s parents, both sets of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

 

   In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Joyce Hartman Goldsmith memorial. Please send to these to Heartland Community Church at 1751 Main Ave. E.,  West Fargo, ND or to West Funeral Home, 321 Sheyenne Street, West Fargo, ND.

 

Visitation: Monday, November 27, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Heartland Community Church, West Fargo, ND. Please join the family in fellowship after the service.

 Funeral Service:  Monday, November 27, 2017 at 7:00 PM at Heartland Community Church, West Fargo, ND

Interment: Tuesday, November 28th at 1:00 PM at Mount Hope Cemetery, Edgeley, ND.
