If the eyes are a window to the soul, Hazel had the soul of an angel on earth. She was such a kind, faithful lady who raised a wonderful family. My sympathy is with you all.

Loree,
Moms ARE forever with us....because we become alittle bit of them. (How can we help but...) Your mom was the best choir director ever. She always smelled heavenly...White Shoulders:) Thanks for your kind words.

My sympathy to all of Hazel's family. The last of the "Huus Girls" is gone. Some of my fondest memories from childhood was when we went to visit the "Huus Girls"! We could ring the bell in the granary, go to the barn and look at the cows and horses, and have some of Louise's delicious cake or cookies. Those were simpler times, but certainly memorable.

The Huus Girls....yes, Mom always told stories about her childhood. She had a happy one!!! You were in her wedding I know....a special lady. I visited with Sylvia at Mom's service. Peace and love to you.

God's Blessings to you all as you remember your mother. As a member of Community Presbyterian Church, we always knew we would get a smile and a warm word from Hazel. When she moved next door to Mom, Louise Johnson, they would have gentle conversations about almost any topic. Hazel was lovely to the tips of her toes. God as a new special angel.

Thanks for sharing. Mom loved her new church family. I didn't know if she could ever move on from our home church, but she did....she met wonderfully welcoming people.

Chris and Tom....know that I was lucky enought to take home the red roses you sent for Mom's service. With her photo and your roses we brought a bit of the service back to share with family staying with us for the weekend. Thank you for thinking of us.

Hazel used to always bring us girls at the bank little snack bags of candy for holidays and always stopped to talk to us when her and Hank would come in the bank. She will be missed. Rest in peace Hazel

I brought Mom to the bank several times. She loved having cookies and coffee and seeing all her friends there. Everyone made her feel special....welcomed. Thank you for that and for your memory shared.
