Harry Schulz

Harry Schulz, 96, of West Fargo, formerly of Edgeley, ND, passed away Monday, November 13, 2017, at Eventide Sheyenne Crossings in West Fargo.

Harry was born to Wm. P. & Emma (Lenz) Schulz on January 28th, 1921 near Edgeley, ND on his Grandfather Charles Schulz's farm (presently the Steve Moch Farm) in Lamoure County.  He attended various country schools in the area including Berlin Public School.  He was awarded pins and a Perfect Attendance Certificate for all 8 years of elementary school. Harry served during WWII in the Infantry, Second Division, Fort Lewis, WA from 1945-1947.

Harry married Bernice Zinter on April 22nd, 1946 in Webster, SD.  After he was discharged from the service, they settled on a farm near Monago, ND and in 1955 purchased a farm located East of Merricourt, ND where he farmed until his retirement.  He was a farmer at heart and was proud of his Black Angus cattle.

Harry was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Edgeley, ND.  He enjoyed his grandchildren & great-grandsons.  He also enjoyed playing Pinochle with his new friends and family at Eventide-Sheyenne Crossings.

 Harry is survived by his 2 daughters, LaRae (Myron) Ruff, Edgeley, ND and Lois (Gene) Hehr, West Fargo, ND, 3 granddaughters, Kimberly (Jason) Bossert, Reiles Acres, ND, Falan (Joe) Miller, West Fargo, ND, and Makell (Andy) Sahlberg, Hawley, MN, 3 great-grandsons, Dalton & Colten Bossert, both Reiles Acres, ND and Bode Sahlberg, Hawley, MN.  One sister, Wilma Keehr of Little Falls, MN and many nieces & nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Bernice, his parents, and 7 siblings, Violet, Amelia, Art, Alvin, Florence, Milton & Leon.

​Funeral:  1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church in Edgeley, ND

Prayer Services 11:00 a.m.  Thursday, November 16, 2017 at West Funeral Home in West Fargo, ND and a second Prayer Service,  Friday,  November 17, 2017, 1:00 p.m. at Shelley Funeral Home in Little Falls, MN.

Visitation: an hour before each service.

Burial:  Mount Hope Cemetery, Edgeley, ND
