Gregory A. Grant, 68, of Horace, ND, died Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at his home.

Gregory was born April 3, 1949, in Fargo, ND, the son of Tollof and Alice (Ulness) Grant.  He was raised on a farm near Horace and attended grade school in Horace and graduated from West Fargo High School in 1967.  Greg then graduated as an electrician from the North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton.  He was employed for a time at Border States Electric and as an electrician in West Fargo.  Greg then began an over 40 year career until his death as a receiving supervisor at Fargo Tank later becoming TrueNorth Steel.  Greg and Kathleen Thingstad were married in 1970 at Faith Lutheran Church in West Fargo.

Greg played softball and baseball until age 40, coached peewee basketball, and along with Kathy, assisted with many swim meets. He loved classic cars, mowing his large yard and volunteer work. He had taught confirmation at Horace Lutheran Church a number of years ago.

Grateful for having shared in his life are his wife:  Kathy; daughter:  Kelley Grant of Horace; a son: Ryan Grant in Germany and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister:  Janet Anderson.

Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the West Funeral Home in West Fargo.

Funeral: 1 p.m., Monday, November 6, 2017 at the funeral home.

Burial:  Horace Lutheran Cemetery, Horace, ND
