Grace Lorren (Grindeland) Schmidt

Grace L. Schmidt, 79, West Fargo, ND died on Monday, December 18, 2017 at Sanford Palliative Care, Fargo, ND.

Grace Lorren Grindeland was born on December 8, 1938 in Fargo, ND to Obert and Grace (Mark) Grindeland.  Grace grew up in Fargo attending school, graduating from Fargo High School on May 23, 1957.  She then attended Interstate Business College.  Grace worked for Northwestern Bell.  On December 12, 1964 she married Daniel Schmidt at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Fargo.

Grace enjoyed planting flowers, cooking, music, and especially spending time with her family.  Her and Daniel loved to take trips, fish, and simply drive around and look at the calves that were born.

Grace was preceded in death by her husband Daniel, parents, and three brothers: Robert, Gene, and Wayne.

Grace is survived by her three children: Lisa (John) Seely, of Casselton, ND, Mark (Ronauda) Schmidt, of Detroit Lakes, MN, and Don Schmidt, of Fargo, ND; two grandchildren: Jess (Leann) Seely and their son Luke, and Tawni (Alex Smith) Seely, sister Virginia (John) Hook, of Burnesville, MN along with numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in law.

Visitation: Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 6-8 PM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo.

Funeral: Friday, December 22, 2017 at 2 PM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo following the service.
