Frances (Beatty) Mehlhoff

Frances Mehlhoff, 99, Fargo, ND died on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017 at Bethany Retirement Living, Fargo.

Frances Clara Beatty was born Oct. 15, 1917 on a farm around Guthrie ND to Roman and Alma (Hoellring) Beatty. She attended school at New Rockford, ND and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. In 1938 she was joined in marriage to Philip G. Mehlhoff. To this marriage was born 2 sons and 2 daughters. As the family grew she worked various places. She worked as a nurse’s aide, many years at the Lutheran Home, New Rockford.  She was active in church circle at First Lutheran Church and kept her membership until her death.  After the death of her husband, she moved into an apartment in May 1992 in Fargo to be near her family.

She is survived by a son, David Mehlhoff, Bismarck, ND; two daughters, Jeanie (Marshall) Vining, Fargo and Carol Mehlhoff, West Fargo, ND; 10 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; a sister, Violet Corliss, Seattle, WA; and many nieces and nephews.

Frances was preceded in death in 1991 by her husband Phil of 53 1/2 years, and a son Philip R. Mehlhoff on May 1, 1998, 6 brothers, a sister and daughter-in-law Marllian.

Funeral:  Monday, August 7, 2017 at 10:30 AM at West Funeral Home Chapel, West Fargo with visitation one hour prior and reception to follow.

Burial: Prairie Home Cemetery, New Rockford.
