Elizabeth Manoogian, 99, Fargo, formerly of Hartford, Connecticut, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Edgewood Vista in Fargo.
Elizabeth Manoogian (January 18, 1919 ~ April 21, 2018) was born to parents Natalie (Hagopian) Manoogian and Harry Manoogian who had fled the Armenian Genocide to raise their 3 children in West Hartford, Connecticut. She is the last to survive her family.
Never married, she cared for her mother as her health failed, her father, and created a home for her maternal uncle David throughout his long life. With her math acumen and intrepid work ethnic she was an incredible asset during her long career with Traveler’s Insurance. Liz loved knitting , reading , and playing cards .
Several years ago she moved to Fargo to be near her cherished niece Sandra, though a significant part of her heart remained in Connecticut.
Besides her brothers Charles and Arthur Manoogian, she is predeceased by a niece Suzanne Manoogian Lehnertz and nephew David Manoogian.
Survivors include nieces Sandra Manoogian Pearce (Tom) and Phyllis Manoogian, nephews Arthur Manoogian (Jean) and Vincent Manoogian (Karyn), 6 great nieces and nephews, and 2 great great nieces. All loved her beyond measure. Her love of life, friendly personality, and daily walking routine will be missed by the many wonderful people at Edgewood Vista in South Fargo where she spent the last 2 years of her life under excellent care.
Memorial Service will be held on a later date.
