To Ryma, Myra, Brenda, and families: So sorry to hear of Dorothy's passing. We loved her dearly and will miss her smiling face, positive attitude, and of course her wit. She was a wonderful lady. May the memories you share and the love of family surround you and give you strength during this difficult time. Our Deepest Sympathy.

Dorothy was not just a neighbor, she was a great friend. We loved and respected her and will miss her wonderful stories. We feel blessed to have been a small part in her large life. Please remember that even though we can not be in North Dakota with her family, our thoughts will be with Myra, Ryma, Brenda, and their families.

So very sorry to hear about Dorothy. Such a loss, the world is a little poorer with her passing but the world has also been blessed by her presence, her wit and her honesty!
She left us and the world a better place by being here. Heartfelt condolences to all her loving family.

I loved having "Mrs. Marshall" as my first and second grade teacher in Wheatland. I remember her enthusiasm and kindness. She wuold have us close our eyes in anticipation as she set a new reading book in our hands and with bookmark cut from construction paper. Then we would begin reading about Dick and Jane and their family. From the time I was a young girl I also wanted to be a teacher--and earned my Elementary Education degree at Valley City in 1979. I taught for six years in South Dakota, then began serving with my husband in an international children's ministry, continuing to this day. I still love to teach children--about Jesus.
