David L. Bigelow, 46, of West Fargo, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo.
Dave was born on December 3, 1971 in Bismarck to Warren and Elda (Birkholz) Bigelow. He was proud that he was the one to carry on the Bigelow name. Dave graduated from Sargent Central High School in Forman in 1990, attended Concordia College and Minnesota State University in Moorhead and in time received his Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources.
Dave married Angela Holzhauer on June 26, 1993. They lived for a year in Bismarck and then moved to Fargo. They had four children Ryne (1997), Zach (2000), Luke (2002), Grace (2005). The children were the delight of his life and was proud of them. He loved baseball and coached his children when they were young. Dave’s favorite baseball team was the Chicago Cubs. He enjoyed golfing and the Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang. Dave was funny, gregarious, a great cook, and had a tremendous love of music and making sure everyone was happy.
He is preceded in death by his father: Warren; father-in-law: Dave Holzhauer; paternal grandparents: Newton and Edna Bigelow; maternal grandparents: Arthur and Rosalie Birkholz; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Dave leaves behind his wife: Angela; sons: Ryne, Zach, Luke; and daughter Grace; his mother: Elda; sisters: Bethany (Terry) Haberstroh, Mary (Kirk) Nathan; mother-in-law: Kathy (Chris) Drake; sister-in-law: Tracy (Mike) Mehsikomer; nieces: Erin Nathan (Zack Dexter), Akriti Haberstroh; nephews: Landon, Evan and Brayden Mehsikomer, David Haberstroh, Jacob (Phoebe) Nathan; great Nephew: Warren Dexter.
