Bennett C. Parkhouse, 77, of Casselton, ND, died Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Essentia Health in Fargo.
Ben was born September 18, 1940 to George and Cecelia (Bahl) Parkhouse. He grew up in Arthur ND and graduated from Arthur High School in 1959. On March 3rd, 1962, Ben married Clarice “Kim” Jorgenson in Fargo ND. They lived in Fargo and Arthur before moving to Casselton in 1973.
Ben owned Parkhouse Oil for 20 years. He never retired completely and was still working at Cenex in Arthur nine months of the year. Ben loved spending time with his family and friends. He had just returned on Sunday from a 3 day ice fishing trip with his son, David. We loved him so much and are so thankful for all the time we had with him.
Ben is survived by his wife Kim; children: Steve, Angie (Tim) Berg, Brad (Dana) and David (Shelley) all of Casselton; grandchildren: Amanda (Josh) Buth, Alyssa (fiancé Brandon Auck) Schroeder, Ashlea (Beau) Paulsen, Bennett, Rachel, Abigail and Hunter; four great-grandchildren: Hayden, Hudson, Emma and Crosby; brother: William (Melody); sisters: Beverly Iwen, Donna Jones, Georgene (Allen) Melander; sister in-law: Betty Parkhouse and brother in-law: Jim Jorgenson.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother: Robert; two baby brothers and his son-in-law: Joe Schroeder.
Visitation: Tuesday, March 27, 2018, 5 p.m. – 7p.m. followed by a 7 p.m. Prayer service at Martin’s Lutheran Church, in Casselton.
Memorial service: Wednesday, 11a.m. at Martin’s Lutheran Church – Casselton.
Burial: Will be later in the Casselton Cemetery
