Barb Altman

Barb A. Altman, 57 of Leonard, ND, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018 at her home.

Barbara Ann Lehfeldt was born on December 9, 1960 in Moorhead, MN to Glen and Delphine (Doering) Lehfeldt.  She grew up in Fargo and West Fargo, graduating from West Fargo High School.  Following high school she attended Interstate Business College.  On July 21, 1990, she married Duaine Altman at Maple Sheyenne Lutheran Church near Harwood, ND.  They made their home in West Fargo until 2000 when they moved to a farm south of Leonard, ND.

She worked at area bakeries, RDO and US Bank.  She later worked as a CNA at Maryhill Manor in Enderlin, ND and Villa Maria in Fargo and also worked with New Beginnings Child Care in West Fargo.  She was diagnosed with brain cancer which forced her to retire.

Barb loved baking, photography and her cats. She especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and the special bond she had with Keilana.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Rod and an infant brother, Jerry.

Barb is survived by her husband, Duaine of Leonard, ND; step-sons, Derek (Misty) Altman of Hermosa, SD and Trevor Altman of Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Keilana and Lane; her sister, Bonnie Snyder of Fargo, ND; sisters-in-law, Jan (Larry) Weigel of Horace, ND, Barb Altman of Fargo, ND and Betty Jo Tostenson of Fargo, ND; brother-in-law, Bruce Altman of Lisbon, ND and her special niece, Krissy Lehfeldt who came to live with Duaine and Barb at age 16.

Visitation:     Friday, February 2, 2018 from 5-7 pm at West Funeral Home, West Fargo and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Prayer Service:     Friday at 7 pm at the funeral home.

Memorial Service:     Saturday, February 3 at 10 am at West Funeral Home, West Fargo.
