In summer 1996, her high school sweetheart, Leonard Mandt, contacted her and they were married in Oakley, CA in late 1996, where they lived until 2006. Leonard passed away in 2006 and Ardys moved to Fargo in 2007. She moved to Bethany on 42nd in 2015, and to Sheyenne Crossings after a fall in December.
